Blue Thermofax Carrier - Use With Oldschool Thermofax Machines - Blue Acetate Thermal Paper

Protect your stencil paper and lengthen the life of your thermofax machine with the Blue Thermofax Carrier. Old machines tend to develop hot spots as they age. Using the Blue Thermofax Carrier spreads the thermal energy evenly over the entire transfer paper, helping to get rid of the “burns” that occur. It also helps to reduce over and underexposure which allows you to get an even, clear stencil. 

Normally, the faster the speed setting on the thermofax, the lighter the ink transfer. Because of the substitute dye, even with the thermofax set at its fastest possible speed, blotches of ink melted and transferred to the white sheet. However, using a blue carrier eliminated almost all of the extraneous ink transfer. 

There are other uses for the blue carriers, too. For instance, let's say that a tattoo shop wants to transfer the image from a small design (Perhaps 2"x2"). Rather than put an entire 8.5"x11" unit through the thermofax machine, the shop may just cut a small square from the bottom of the unit. That small square probably won't travel through the thermofax machine by itself without coming apart. Putting the small piece inside of a carrier allows it to travel through the thermofax easily without coming apart or losing its registration.
